Playboy and Lohan reportedly reached an agreement that has the troubled actress getting close to $1 million dollars and the magazine getting Lindsay to bare all and not be shy about it. At this time, there's been no announcement of when Lindsay's issue will hit newsstands.
It's an understatement to say that Lohan's life, career, and reputation have changed in the last few years, and her stance on posing in the buff has as well. Back in 2005, Lohan told Access Hollywood, "You'll never see me do a nude scene." She went on to explain that getting naked would hurt her chances of being recognized by the Academy:
I think there’s a way to for those kinds of things to be tastefully done and you don’t need to show that, and I don’t think that’s what is needed to win someone an Oscar. … I think there are other things you can do to show people that you have talent.”Apparently after multiple DUIs and run-ins with the law, Lindsay Lohan has put her Oscar aspirations on hold and is just looking to jumpstart her career again. Whether a full frontal spread in a leading men's magazine is the answer remains to be seen.
In reality, the LiLo/Playboy partnership comes at an opportunistic time for both parties: Playboy is in the midst of slumping subscriptions and dramatically dismal sales numbers and could use a big name in Hollywood to generate some much-needed buzz, while Lohan will welcome any publicity that doesn't concern her court dates and failed community service stints. The million dollars doesn't hurt either.
